Every year, Madeira´s Flower Festival takes place two weeks after Easter.
In this period the old town in Fu
nchal resembles a sea of flowers. During this week you´ll have the opportunity to admire new flower creations and to purchase flowers and plants at the market next to the Municipal Garden.
On Saturday at 10:00 the children build a “wall of hope” made of thousands of flowers in the Municipal Square.
On Sunday afternoon it is held the highlight of the festival, the so-called Flower Parade.
Thousands of participants march through Funchal city down town at the sound of magical music where everyone will admire the wonderful Flower celebrations and the skilled dancers along the Avenida do Mar.
